Heading on a vacation or business trip and don't know what to do with your precious pooch? Why not send them to daycamp instead of a caged kennel? At WAGS doggie daycamp in Danbury, CT, you can rest assured that your doggie will receive the best quality of care, not to mention a fun time socializing with a wide variety other well-loved doggies.

The spacious facility has well-rounded accommodations. One large room is fully equipped for R&R with fluffy couches and chairs, one room for games (aptly titled the "gymnasium"), and a nice outdoor area with a playpen and pool. The gym has a rubberized floor to prevent injury during fetch sessions and the outdoor area is coated in pea gravel for similar paw protection. All the staff there is friendly and treats each "camper" as they would their own dog.

There is a screening process for new clients to weed out overly aggressive animals and of course there are vaccination requirements. But once that initial process is covered, you can bring your pet there for day visits or overnights, with discounts for extended stays. There are also capacity limits so be sure to book your pets' stays in advance, just as you would your own hotel reservations.

One of the nicest features of this business is the manner that they cater to their clients' owners. There are three live web cams so even when you're a thousand miles away, you can check in on your pet and see them playing or resting. Also, the staff is capable of handling special diet requests. One particular camper was given a lunch box each day and was hand-fed his food!

The WAGS doggie daycamp also gets involved in community fundraising for local pet charities. They host regular "trivia nights" and other functions as a means of raising awareness and funding for local organizations. The owners of WAGS do this out of their great concern for less fortunate pets. They also made great contacts with other "doggie daycare" facilities in the greater New England area and are always striving to learn from other successful, similar companies.
