Trying to eat a healthy lunch can be difficult whether you are at home with your kids or at the office. There are a lot of frozen meals out there, but in my experience, most of them look better on the box then they actually taste. The new grilled panini sandwiches by Stouffers are the exception - they are quick and easy but also very delicious. The panini sandwiches are grilled in the microwave using a special metal tray. You simply take the sandwich out of the plastic, put it on the metal tray, put the tray on top of the empty box, and put it in the microwave for 3 minutes. What comes out is a tasty sandwich with crisp bread, good quality meats and vegetables and delicious sauces. There is enough sauce to make the sandwich taste good but not so much that it makes it soggy and there are generous portions of meat and vegetables. All you have to do is let it cool a minute, flip one side of the sandwich over and enjoy! The sandwiches are more filling and satisfying than your average single serving frozen meal.
The paninis come in a variety of flavors including Philly Style Steak and Cheese, Smoked Turkey Club, Southwest Style Chicken, Asiago Chicken, Grilled Chicken Italian, and Italian Deli Style. They sell for around $3.00 a box, depending on your area and on the sales that are going on. All the sandwiches have around 300 to 360 calories and 15 to 16 grams of fat so they are reasonable healthy.
I would highly recommend these sandwiches for someone looking for a quick and tasty lunch on the go or at home.
