Cyber bullies are on the rise and are now having deadly and traumatic consequences. Back when most of us were children, we had all knew a bully. The bullies were classified as school yard bullies, neighborhood bullies and there were of course bullies that loved to torment you on the school bus. Now we have entered the technology era. Most people own computers, blackberries and cell phones. Many people spend countless hours online. The internet has provided a means of not only entertainment but also education for people in this age. Along with the pros so come the cons. While many of us feel safe having the internet and all its communication perks such as messengers and chats, many do not feel safe. Many people have encountered the new bully on the block, the cyber bully. You will find that most people believe this type of behavior only happens in messenger and through emails but it has went way beyond that. The cyber bully has found a playground on blogs; myspace, chats and some even go to the extremes of making free websites. Some of these websites even include pictures along with awful remarks against the victim.

You may be wondering what would be considered as a cyber bully. Well a cyber bully is anyone who willingly sets out to cause repeated emotional harm to be inflicted on someone through the use of an electronic text. But these days the bullying can even occur over the voice method of chatting in many messenger and chat clients. Cyber bullying is when the bully intends to cause the person emotional distress and anguish. Cyber bullying can be an attack on you for anything from sexual remarks to hate speech.

While being a bully in it self is not a new thing, the way the cyber bully works is new to many of us. This isn't just affecting children but it is also affecting adults as well. People who come online to gain education, friendship and entertainment are now being confronted by people who are there for their own twisted pleasure.
