Most men Harold Sims age would have been thinking about playing golf, watching all the big games, and catching up on all those missed naps when they retired, but not Harold Sims.  Harold wanted to do something meaningful with his retirement years and he’s doing just that.




After moving to Western North Carolina Harold realized that people cared more about dogs than they did cats and even when it came to dogs people thought more about controlling the population of these animals than they did about finding homes for these poor animals.  Harold tired his best to work with local shelters to find homes cats and kittens, but most of his work was wasted time.  The shelters simply wouldn’t wait long enough for him to find homes for these animals or the people he found changed their minds.  Most people would have given up at this point, but not Harold.
