He's 6'2", 215 pounds of natural strength. He's Run DMC, and I'm not talking about the rap group, He's Darren McFadden. He hails from Oak Grove High School in North Little Rock, playing just about eve
ry sporting position you can think of. Many high school players of the year that came from Arkansas have a talent all their own, but not like this one.

Being in Parade magazine as a 2004 All-American was just a start of a career that will be unforgettable. When I saw him in his freshman year here in Arkansas people were already talking Heisman and I wondered, where did this guy come from?

When McFadden touches the ball you can't help but get excited because you don't know what he's about to do. He's not afraid to hit his tacklers hurting some of them in the process. Earlier this year as a story on KATV news, a local station, he became the leading rusher of all time at Arkansas, a record that stood for some 30 years. Being in the SEC, in my opinion is the best conference in college football, you have to be your best playing against a lot of solid defenses.

McFadden has proved himself capable of handling even stressful situations time and time again like in the critical game against LSU where he played both tailback and QB( He probably could have played defense too). In that game that was seen on CBS he rushed for over 200 yards moving in to third place on the SEC all-time rushing list and needing only 73 yards to surpass Kevin Faulk. As broadcast on ESPN, he has won the Doak Walker award two years straight.

He has 4.3 speed leaving his catchers eating dust. He shocked a lot of people in the South Carolina game rushing for 321 yards, a feat that not even SEC legends like Herschel Walker, Bo Jackson, or Emmit Smith accomplished. Sure he has had a few games in which he did not reach his peak due to in October when he suffered from bruised ribs.

Many spectators had put him out of the Heisman race until a late surge in which he sprung into action showing the nation what he's made of. After finishing second two years in a row in the Heisman race he still gets my respect. He is the first ever in Arkansas history to be considered for the award.

I AM VERY EXCITED TO HAVE HIM ON MY TEAM. HE REMINDS ME OF THE GREAT BO JACKSON. WHAT DO THEY FEED THE KIDS IN THE SOUTH. I THINK HE IS THE ADRIAN PETERSON OF 2008.

Thank you both chase and chees, D-Mac is the best player and the reason why all the publicity was taken from him was that he comes from Arkansas and some people can't stomach that.
