'Tis the season for holiday light displays. The Phoenix area is no stranger to elaborate and unique displays. Here is the 2007 guide to the Phoenix-area professional holiday light displays.

ZooLights at the Phoenix Zoo - The Phoenix Zoo has been voted one of the nation's top five zoos for children. The 16th annual ZooLights exhibit opened on Thanksgiving night and will run through January 6, 2008. The exhibit is open nightly from 6 to 10 pm and the admission prices are as follows:

Admission at the gate
Non-member $8
Zoo member $6

Advance purchase tickets are also available
Non-member $7
Member $5

Children under two are always free; in addition groups of 50 or more receive a discounted admission fee of $6 per person. Group tickets must be purchased in advance. ZooLights admission tickets are non-refundable but can be used for any night during the ZooLights season. Tickets can be purchased online at the Phoenix Zoo website, via the ZooLights telephone line at 602-273-1341 between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:00 pm, in person at the zoo gates as well as at participating Fry's Food and Drug grocery stores. This year's ZooLights exhibit features many new displays including a giant tail-flipping scorpion (perfect for the Southwest), a giant 3-D spider perched in a web above a walkway, and a new feature called "Music in Motion." The zoo is located at 455 North Galvin Parkway in Phoenix.

Las Noches de las Luminarias at the Desert Botanical Gardens - This year marks the 30th anniversary of Luminarias at the Garden. The exhibit is open from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm on the following dates: December 1, 2, 6, 7, 8, 9, 13, 14, 15, 16, 20, 21, 22, and 23. Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children aged 3-12 if you are a DBG member. Non-member admission prices are $25 for adults and $12.50 for children aged 3-12. Children under two are always free. Tickets can be purchased online at the Desert Botanical Gardens website, on site at the admission gate, or by calling 480-481-8188. The Desert Botanical Gardens is located at 1201 North Galvin Parkway in Phoenix.

Audrey - I truly love it here, even though the summers are horrible. It's "cold" here now...low 60s. :)

I used to have the weirdest obsession with Arizona, I really wanted to live there...this only reminds me of that long lost desire!
