Ocean Spray is appealing to health enthusiasts with a new line of cranberry juice cocktails, containing 100 percent juice.

Anyone who has ever looked at the information label on a bottle of their regular cranberry cocktail may have been shocked to discover the amount of sugar in a single serving. There's still a lot of sugar in their new line, but it is the sugar found in the fruits themselves.

The first one I tried was the Ocean Spray 100% All Natural Cranberry and Pomegranate juice blend. As someone who loves the taste of pomegranate and cranberry, I knew this was one I had to try. The thing I liked most about this one is that cranberry juice and pomegranate juice are just about the only ingredients listed on the label. I've been drinking cranberry juice for a long time, but finding one made from real 100% juice is pretty difficult. A few grocery stores have started marketing their own versions, but this one really takes the cake.

The first thing I noticed is that Ocean Spray is really trying to differentiate between their 100% juice line, and their line of cranberry juice cocktails. The label is completely white like their regular blends, but where they would typically place the name of the juice, they instead used the 100% juice logo. They've also added "no sugar added", and a few nice pictures of the fruits.

When I poured the cranberry and pomegranate juice into a glass, I noticed that it looked more red than I was expecting. Its not as red as their regular juices, nor is it as red as artificial cranberry juice, but its still pretty red. The smell of this juice is akin to their regular cranberry juice, and I didn't notice anything pomegranate about the scent.

As for the taste? I could drink this year round and be a happy person. The cranberry flavor is the main tastes, while the pomegranate tends to sit in the background, acting as a secondary flavor. That's to be expected since the juice is from Ocean Spray, but I wish there was just a little more pomegranate taste.
