Longwood Gardens is in Kennett Square. It takes over a year to plan each blooming and decorative display here in Delaware county. Plus there's also great shopping nearby and the whole area is an artisans village really, The brandywine area is one of the best in the country for handmade art of all kind especially glass.

"Longwood presents ice skating performances at our outdoor rink nestled near the Chimes Tower. Watch ice skaters dance under the stars in a winter wonderland filled with twinkling lights and holiday trees. Professional and local competitive championship skaters-including Olympians Tiffany Scott, Philip Dulebohn, Alexei Beletsky, Cheun Gun Lee; and US National medalist Kendra Goodwin-perform fun 20-minute skating vignettes daily (weather permitting)."

In town, you can see the tree outside city Hall, in the courtyard, is bathed in good old American Blue. It has fantastic likes and huge blue globe ornaments.There's also a tree in Dilworth Plaza and one on the Art Museum Steps as you face west into the night.. These public displays are free and really exceptional sights to add on to your holiday shopping or Avenue of the Arts theater excursions.

The Women's committees of Fairmount Park Mansions also decorate and have open house tours. So many women and men professional and hobbyists spend time each year to make these mansions shine. They choose themes and color schemes to please everyone in your group.
