Gigi and Luca has been open in Lighthouse Point, FLorida since May 2005. Gigi and Luca is a large, bright, fabulous dog boutique that is geared towards very well taken care of pooches and the people who own them. They offer top of the line Holistic foods. When the recent food scare occurred Gigi and Luca could happily offer their foods without anyone being worried about it being tainted. The store had special notices put up showing the ingredients and letting people know their product was safe. The clothing is amazing, the toys delightful, the beds cute as can be and the accessories are wonderful. You are usually greeted b either Gigi the bulldog, Bubella, the 16 month old Yorkie or Kitty the rescue cat. The owners are wonderful, friendly people happy to spend time with you whether you're purchasing or not. On a regular basis there are Gigi and Luca events. Sometimes it's just a doggie meet and greet other times it's seasonal like the super Halloween Coatume party and contest. They offer photo ops at thes occasions and there have been some fun photo contests..

Gigi and Luca has a "barkery" that would be Bakery in people language. It has an endless selection of dog biscuits that are so attractive you would want to buy some for yourself not just for your pet. They come in the cutest designs, dog bones, mail men, cats and are iced in dog friendly icing. Beyond the barkery there is a wall of baby boudoirs where the puppies available for sale are housed while on display. They are each in a clean white cubby with clear plastic on the people side so no one can touch them. Gigi and Luca has a very smart policy that states only people who are serious purchasers can handle the pups and you must sanitize your hands between cuddles. They don't want the dogs stressed out since they are all so young and too much handling would be overwhelming. Also, most of them are teacup size and are too delicate for a lot of people to deal with.
