Coldwater Creek recently opened a new store at the Woodland Hills Mall in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The stores offer the "best of the best" in Coldwater Creek apparel, jewelry, accessories, gifts and home accessories. The Coldwater Creek customer has a profile of a professional woman, 35 to 60 years of age, educated and has more discretionary income than free time. I use the retail store as a place to get away from it all while I shop. I also enjoy the ease and convenience of e-commerce and catalog shopping. The stores capture the feel of the Coldwater Creek brands with soft woods, ambient lighting, and a merchandising strategy that promises a sense of discovery. It is a lovely experience, wandering the isles, feeling the beautiful textures and admiring the beauty of the handcrafted jewelry and accessories.

Coldwater Creek was started in 1984 with one catalog that included 18 items. The company currently offers about 3,000 items. Company headquarters are in Sandpoint, Idaho, with a customer service and tech center in nearby Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, and a state-of-the-art distribution and customer service center located in Parkersburg, W.V. The E-commerce Site was launched in July of 1999 and currently represents approximately 20% of total company sales. Approximately 60% of Coldwater Creek customers live east of the Mississippi River.

Well done article to introduce others to Coldwater Creek. I love their use of color.

I'm a big fan of Coldwater Creek and I enjoyed this review very much. One thing that bugs me, though, is that they offer the same products at different prices in their catalogs and stores (and it's not consistent which one is cheaper). Perhaps it's because I'm in New Jersey and the things that sell well at my local store aren't necessarily big catalog sellers, but it is frustrating to order something in the catalog and then see if for 20 dollars less at the store, or vice versa.

Great review! I've looked at their catalog, but never bought anything because I didn't know anything about the company. Next time perhaps I will buy something.
