Votran has announced they will be holding their annual tour of the Christmas lights of area businesses and homes in the cities of Daytona Beach and Deltona on Sunday, December 16th 2007. The tours have been running locally for the past 17 years and are very popular with residents of both cities. The tour is a great way to enjoy the holiday season with your friends and neighbors.

Area residents can enjoy the festive holiday light displays from aboard a Votran bus. Votran's popular holiday light tour is an opportunity to view holiday decorations at various locations in East and West Volusia County. The tour itself usually lasts for 1 hour. Depending on which city you wish to see the lights in you will have various times you can hop on the buses. In Daytona Beach the buses will be running on the half hour with the tour times being 6PM, 6:30PM, 7PM and 7:30PM. In Deltona the bus will be departing at 6PM only.

Departure locations for the buses will be at 950 Big Tree Rd. South Daytona Beach, Florida, which is the main Votran headquarters. For the Light Up Deltona tour buses will be departing from the Deltona Plaza shopping center on Deltona Blvd. This is commonly referred to the WinnDixie Plaza on Deltona Blvd.
Tickets for the event are still available on a first come first serve basis until Friday, December 7th at the close of business for Votran. Tickets for the event are $7 per person and are purchased for specific tour departures. You can purchase tickets either from the Votran Headquarters by stopping by the Big Tree Rd. location or by calling (386) 761-7700. The Light Up Deltona event will be sponsored by the Deltona Civic Association and tickets can be purchased at the Community Center located at 964 Lakeshore Dr. Deltona, Florida or by calling (386) 574-6208.

Amazing that they sell out. Our light displays here go on past the holidays so there is little chance of anyone not being able to see them.
