My Worst Christmas Gift Ever

It was just last Christmas. The time I got the worst gift ever.

My co-worker and I were moving our office to a new location. He is somewhat of a nerdy guy, and he has a very odd sense of humor. He is a 52 years old man that has never been married. I am pretty sure that he has never even had a girlfriend. Yes, I work with the 40-year-old virgin! Not really, but you would certainly think so if you knew him.

We were being moved into the corporate building of our company. When we were moved, my desk was disassembled, and it required reassembly at the new location. A piece of it was not tightened, so I borrowed a tool to tighten it up.

There are about 25 people in the building other than the two of us. My coworker and I have been working together for several years and we have grown to know each other very well, but neither of us knew any of the people in the new office location. Our move was in September, and by Christmas we were just beginning to get to know the new people.

At Christmas time, many people bring gifts for friends at work. There was no traditional gift exchange, but most people there ended up getting a gift for Christmas, (Yes, I agree, that's a tacky way to handle gift giving, but, I am the new girl...none of it was my idea). Any way, back to the story. We were all sitting around, having Christmas goodies and punch. It was time to open our Christmas gifts. Of course we had to do it in front of everyone.
