After a completely confusing final weekend in college football the BCS has finally ironed everything out (we think and many still have things to say because its a lose/lose situation for whoever is #2) for this year's bowl games. With 32 games in all there is definitely plenty to talk about kicking off with game:

#32 San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia (December 20th, 9:00p.m. eastern)

Utah vs. Navy
(San Diego, California)-Hey the Midshipmen are on a terror and it may not stop until they win the Poinsettia Bowl. Winners of their last four and breaking the 43 year curse to Notre Dame, Navy plans to take their 48 ppg average over that span and put Utah to the test. With a open style running offense and averaging almost 400 ypg on the ground the Midshipmen should have no problems scoring, but giving up the points is usually an issue.

Utah has beaten Louisville and UCLA this year with a stout defense holding opponents to a mere 15 ppg. If Utah can stop the run (which I don't see why not) they'll have a rather simple time with Navy. Utah has their eye on the prize.

Utah 35 Navy 21

#31 R+L Carriers New Orleans Bowl (December 21st, 8:00p.m. eastern)

Florida Atlantic vs. Memphis
(New Orleans, Louisiana)- Unfortunately on paper this looks like nothing more then a #1 vs. #16 in college basketball, but were playin' football here people! Don't be fooled, while Memphis was playing the cupcakes in Conference USA FAU was doing something different. They were sticking their heads where they don't belong and gaining experience playing games against Kentucky, Oklahoma State, and Florida. Sure they lost them all, but its a great resume of teams compared to Ole Miss, Central Florida, and Southern Mississippi. Don't be surprised if FAU stills one while no one is looking.

FAU 41 Memphis 34

#30 Papajohns.com Bowl (December 22nd, 1p.m. eastern)

lol, keep looking! Many of them were way off. I think I can finish like 20-12 if I win out or something, but if you are a betting person this would be exhibit A of why you don't pick games a month in advance. Although I still would of picked Florida, along with everyone else but Michigan fans and the pity win for Carr :) Sure your happy though

Wow your Capital One Bowl predictions were way off :) I will give it to them though. Florida put up a good fight and it was a tight game :) They did well uhm the first quarter and that one interception was cool. Offense ruled for both teams this game. But Blue, baby, showed their true colors :) ha. Good game to see Carr off. Looks like I will remain a faithful Wolverines fan.

Hey Bryan, yep I'll be getting a playoff one going for the NFL as soon as the season ends this weekend. I hate trying to guess who is going to take the last spots when half of the other teams aren't going to be playing. Just like I never understand why fantasy football leagues end on the final week of the season. If you have say, Brady and Moss who've got you the majority of your points all year and now they may not play the whole game? Oops

Hey man, these picks are pretty tight! 5-1 to start off is really good with those games. Glad to hear you are going to do some March Madness! Are you doing a NFL Playoff one? I'll check back to get your answer. thanks!

***D'oh*** well the bad news is, I lost my first game with Boise State partyin' in Hawaii, good news is, it wasn't something I was off the beaten path considering everywhere I looked ECU was not chosen to win this one. Guess that's why they call it an upset!

I agree, there close to back, but it is the year of the upset and just when everyone is expecting one team to win, Poof! Here we go again, lol. Thanks for the comment Mouth.

What a comprehensive list... no telling how long this took. Glad you're predicting my Aggies over the Nittany Lions. I agree with some of the commenters though, I just don't think there's any feasible way the Illini (Juice loose or not) beats that USC team now that they're semi-healthy. They're in a league with only LSU and OU in my mind.

thanks Jack, ya I'm more into college basketball so that will be a definite!

Very nice article! I've filled my addiction to college football for the next 5 minutes :) I disagree with your Wake Forest pick, because Riley Skinner hasn't gotten it done this year and UConn wins off of turnovers; a QB with 1 more INT than TD is fair game. I also think Boston College is going to blow out Michigan State; the Spartans have been wildly inconsistent, and BC knowns how to win. Matt Ryan is too much for that secondary. Oregon's not going to score 20...they've been in shambles since Dixon went down, and USF has the speed to wreck havoc. Cal's also gone to heck, and Air Force has enough to put them away. Cal lost 6 of their last 7; not exactly confidence inspiring stuff. No way Illinois wins; they're not in the same league as USC, it's as simple as that. I'm saying USC by 3 TDs. Illinois hasn't faced anyone like this. Still...great article!
