My favorite Christmas Song is "White Christmas". It says how I feel while getting ready for the holidays. For most of us where it snows, especially love it when we have a white Christmas. There is nothing like decorated homes inside and out. Driving up and down the countryside or venturing into the city to see the holiday decorations and sing my favorite Christmas song "White Christmas" with the kids when they were young. It is one of the first songs I start humming or singing to help get in the holiday spirit. Waking up in the morning to a clear sunny day with a new fresh snow, tipping all the trees white, and seeing white for miles What a beautiful sight to see (before the darn snow plows go through). Everyone hustling around to get their holiday shopping done. People in exceptionally good spirits, smiles and wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. It is time to write out the Christmas cards and to bake the Christmas cookies and goodies to serve for the holidays.

My favorite Christmas song "White Christmas", just says it all, it is how I would love each and every Christmas to be. It lifts our spirits and sets the mood for the holiday. It is the way a nice old fashion Christmas should be. Occasionally if the roads are good we are lucky we will here the sleigh bells ringing as neighboring farmers hitch up their wagons to their favorite horses which are Morgans or Clydesdales. A wagon full of families, youngsters, choirs, 4-H members, or church members singing Christmas songs right before dusk. One of the many songs is my favorite Christmas Song "White Christmas". If I am lucky that year I am able to go along on the sleigh ride and sing my favorite Christmas song, while bundled up with warm blankets, singing, having fun and enjoying hot chocolate with cookies.

That is the kind of Christmas I would wish for everyone. No stress, fighting, worrying, just calm, peaceful, visiting with loved ones and friends, enjoying the holidays to their fullest.

Other Christmas songs that I love are:

All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth - especially fun to sing when your kids are losing their first teeth or have lost them already.

Thank you Mike, yes those would be nice new Lyrics, and I hear you about the wind & cold, as well as the shoveling, I think my husband would agree on that one. Hugs Mary

Hi Mary Lynn. These would not be good song lyrics, but I would write: "I'm dreaming of a White Christmas, a White Christmas on which the temperature is about 32 degrees but with no wind so that it doesn't feel too cold, so that the white flakes will stick and make the lawn white, but they will melt on the sidewalk and driveway so that I don't have to shovel the snow!" ...... But that's probably a bit much to ask of our Creator each holiday. I am so happy you left a note on one of my articles because now I have discovered you. Hugs to you too. -- Mike

Great song choice! I love it too. I agree that it is a good way to express how we feel in northern areas!

We had a snowstorm Saturday night into Sunday, and then some more snow later in the afternoon. Hugs Mary

As I read this, I looked outside to watch the blizzard that we've been having all day and is forecasted to continue through the night ("making the morning commute treacherous", says the weather man). I can't help but hope for a Christmas of safe driving for everyone...white or green. :)
