Weird and Unusual Gifts for that Weird and Unusual Person in Your Life
It seems that every holiday season more and more companies get my mailing address. I receive all the usual catalogs that I actually purchase from as well as some others that offer standard gift giving products. This year, however, I received a few catalogs I've never heard of. One of these catalogs,
What on Earth, has especially odd and unusual gift items that just may be perfect for someone you know.
Baguette Computer Wrist Rest. This strange foam French bread is a wrist rest for your computer. It sits in front of the keyboard and supports your wrist while you type. Although the idea behind it is useful one has to wonder who would actually use this product priced at $19.95. It looks so real you would have to worry about co-workers thinking it's a tasty piece of bread you brought in to share.
The Bog Monster. This odd little fellow is made of green latex rubber and has suction cups to stick inside of your toilet. When an unsuspecting bathroom visitor lifts the lid the scary fang wielding monster is popping up out of the toilet. Sure to create a paranoid obsessive fear of the toilet that will cost you hundreds in therapy fees, the bog monster is a great way to traumatize a young child who may sneak into the bathroom unnoticed.
Butt Station Desktop Organizer. This little blue guy kindly organizes all of your office supplies while sitting on a plastic toilet. He holds your scotch tape in his hands while biting down on a pencil. Behind the toilet there's room for post-its and pens. The catalog even describes it as coming with an added bonus: a magnetic hiney. What better way to get your co-worker in trouble for being tackily inappropriate than buying him one of these for his desk?
Car Pool Kenny. Want to cheat the laws created by your state's Department of Transportation? Get yourself one of these blow-up dolls to buckle in your front seat and cruise along the car pool lane to get to work on time! Kenny may not have any arms or legs, but he's dressed to impress in his suit, tie and oh-so-professional glasses. Just be sure to have an explanation ready for the cop that pulls you over for speeding.
