-1 tsp ground corlander
-2 tbsp lemon juice
-1 1/2 cups canned garbanzo beans, drained & rinsed
-75 g soft silken bean curd, drained
-115 g cooked potato, diced
-4 tbsp freshly chopped cilantro
-1/2 cup dry whole-wheat bread crumbs
-1 tbsp vegetable oil
-Burger buns
-2 medium tomatoes, sliced
-1 large carrot, grated
-Salt & pepper
Relish Ingredients:
-1 tsp sesame-seed paste
-4 tbsp low-fat unsweetened yogurt
-1 inch piece cucumber, finely chopped
-1 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
-Garlic salt, to season
Step One:
Your first step during step one will be to grab a large pan that you can do some boiling in. You will take this pan and place your onion, garlic, spices, and lemon juice inside of it. The pan will then need to be brought to a solid boil. During the boiling process, make sure that your pan is well covered. Continue to boil until you feel that the onions are nice and soft. Allow all the contents to simmer for about 5 minutes.
Step Two:
Step two will see that you place the garbanzo beans, bean curd, and potato into a large bowl. You will then mash together all of these contents until you create a solid mixture. Stir in the onion mixture next, then the cilantro, and the seasoning. Mix all of these contents together very well. You will then divide the mixture into 4 equal portions. These portions will then need to be formed into 4 patties. These burger patties should be no larger than 4 inches across. This will provide you with a proper burger size for cooking.
