Even if you eat the right foods and exercise regularly, you might still find yourself with a few stubborn pockets of fat that refuse to leave. The medical community has two widely-accepted forms of fat removal: liposuction and Lipodissolve. How do you decide if liposuction or Lipodissolve is best for you?Liposuction Vs. Lipodissolve: Down Time
The major concern that consumers have with liposuction is the recovery time. Although some liposuction patients are ready to go back to work within a week, a significant portion requires bed rest and light activity for four weeks. Some liposuction patients don't recover for several months. It all depends on your body's ability to handle the swelling, bruising and soreness that liposuction inevitably creates.
Lipodissolve, on the other hand, requires less than three days for recovery. Lipodissolve is often considered "lunchtime lipo" because patients sometimes can return to work that same day. Although swelling, bruising and infections can occur with Lipodissolve, the complications are far less common than with liposuction.
Liposuction Vs. Lipodissolve: Quantity of Fat
It is also important to consider the amount of fat you want removed when you're comparing liposuction against Lipodissolve. Generally speaking, Lipodissolve is intended to remove smaller "pockets" of fat cells in the body. Lipodissolve is not meant for overweight patients who want to lose weight as well as inches. Liposuction, on the other hand, can be effective for people who want to lose significant weight but have had trouble with diet and exercise in the past.
This doesn't mean that an overly obese individual can have liposuction and suddenly become thin. Nor does it mean that Lipodissolve is ineffective for people who are not overweight. However, it is important to have realistic expectations for both the liposuction and Lipodissolve procedure. Whether you decide on liposuction or Lipodissolve, consult a physician and a former patient.
