There has been a lot of controversy over whether everyone has a soul mate. It is hard to believe that with so many people inhabiting Earth that some people may not have a soul mate. I believe my heart led me to my husband before I even new it.

My first husband and I met in Arkansas during my junior year in high school. He was the first guy I had met that I had feelings for. One of his friends came down from Kansas to visit for a few days. During our first meeting I despised everything he stood for. He was your average typical Joe who liked to party, drink, smoke, and anything "fun". While I was not opposed to having fun, this kind of fun was not how my parents had raised me. Fun to me was hanging out at the lake, boating, skiing, tubing, hiking, exploring and youth group church activities. Although I despised him there was still something there that I refused to acknowledge.

After a few years the guy I had been dating in high school was married shortly after I graduated high school. I knew it was the wrong thing to do right before the wedding but was too embarrassed to not walk in. My father could tell I was upset and told me I didn't have to do it but I responded with I can't just not walk in. Shortly after we were married, he lost his job and we relocated to Kansas to live with the guy I despised. We lived there for about six months and then moved into our own apartment. I didn't see his friend a lot over the course of a few years. After we had been married for about four years we split up after I found out that he had cheated on me and enjoyed watching gay pornography on the side. I had not been an angel either by any means in that I had let his friend kiss me and yes the one I despised. It could have been the alcohol or it may not have been, either way it happened. After this my outlook on life had just changed so dramatically that I wasn't even myself anymore.
