Tanglewood Festival of Lights in North Carolina
Not only will you have the opportunity to see a beautiful array of lights, the Tanglewood Festival of Lights also offers other activities that will allow you to enjoy your time with your family. Hayrides are offered for groups up to 25 people. The tractor will pull your group around the area and allow you to enjoy the lights. There is a cost of $110.00 and this does not include admission to the Festival of Lights. This must be purchased separately. Reservations must be made and are available every night during the light show.
If hayrides aren't for you, there is still an option for those who would like to see the lights while enjoying the brisk, cool air. Horse drawn carriage rides lead by Clydesdale horses will chauffer you around the light displays. The cost is $60.00 and does not include admission to the Festival of Lights. This must be purchased separately. If you would like to enjoy the Tanglewood lights in a horse drawn carriage, reservations must be made. It is recommended that you call early to reserve your spot.
If you feel the need to view the lights from the comfort (and warmth) of your own car, don't fret, there is still a way to take a moment and enjoy the Christmas scenery around you. Tanglewood offers a gift shop as well as concessions. You can drink hot chocolate, roast marshmallows in the marshmallow roaster and look at a variety of crafts. You can even meet with Santa and have your picture taken with him. You can even bring home a keepsake photo of your family and Santa for $4.95.
