Britney Spears Gets Christmas with Kids

It will be a Merry Christmas for Britney Spears as she will be able to spend the day with her two children, Sean Preston and Jayden James, according to a recent report in the National Enquirer. As the custody battle over the two children continues, the latest hearing on December 3, 2007, dealt with the issue of Christmas. It was decided that Spears would have the boys for Christmas since they had most of Thanksgiving with their father, her ex-husband, Kevin Federline.

In October, a judge gave Federline temporary custody of the children after Spears refused to undergo drug testing ordered by the court. In November, Spears was told by the court that she cannot drive the children in her car because of a video that showed her running a red light while talking on a cell phone with the children and a court monitor in the car. Because she missed eight out of 14 appointments for random drug testing, Spears has been ordered to have only supervised visitation with her children. Spears also drove over two photographer's feet as well as police officer in November and does not have a valid California driver's license.

Spears recently reunited with her estranged family. Earlier in the battle, it appeared that Lynn and Jamie Spears, Spears' parents, were on the side of their ex-son-in-law as they continued to maintain a relationship with him for the sake of their grandchildren, as reported by US Magazine. Spears' attorney would not elaborate on what the singer's plans were for the holidays with her children.

Britney Spears has come under quite a bit of scrutiny lately as the custody battle for the two little boys continues to be heated. Federline has accused Spears of neglecting the children, of putting them in danger and being an unfit mother. An unknown dancer on her troupe, Spears picked Federline out for a husband several years ago and used her money and influence to try to get him to have a successful career of his own. After the split, Federline demanded alimony from Spears and then went after custody. Early in the marriage, Spears was criticized as she was photographed while driving with Sean Preston on her lap.
