James Voted Off Survivor: China Who is Next?
Survivor: China sent home an athletic, hardworking castaway who seemed one of the few with integrity. James' tragedy: he went home in possession of two. Hidden Immunity idols. He played over confidence at tribal council at the end of episode, 1510, of Survivor: China.
On the previous episode, Survivor: China episode 1509, an individual challenge was issued. The prize was a visit to the sacred Shaolin temple.
The winner was allowed to choose two players to accompany them.
The challenge, aired in episode 1510 of Survivor: China, was to answer a series of questions about Chinese culture. Peih-Gee, James, and Todd ran neck -and-neck to the final question. On the last question, only Peih-Gee had the answer and won the individual challenge.
Peih-Gee selected Erik and Denise to join her at the Shaolin Temple. Ironically, no one liked Peih-Gee going into this episode. Perhaps she picked Erik and Denise to win friendship and trust, or form an alliance. Sharing her reward didn't appear to gain her favor with Erik or Denise.
Denise seemed to really appreciate the spiritual and cultural experience of visiting Shaolin more than Erik and Peih-Gee. Yet, she was concerned that being away from camp would place her out of the loop.
Peih-Gee should have been the one worried. She would have been voted off Survivor: China last week had it not been for her winning personal immunity. She continues to realize her vulnerability, but she squeaked by this week based on the castaways' fears of James. He was a strong player and the castaways need to get rid of him exceeded their dislike of Peih-Gee. At this point, Survivor is not about popularity, it is about winning.
Amanda confided on camera that she didn't trust any remaining Survivor castaways. She said she didn't want to end up in final competition with Todd, Courtney, or James, with whom she had been left behind at camp. hat may be because she was left among the players with the most fight and tenacity.
