The Burger King Cheesy Tots are still a relatively new addition to the Burger King lineup. Back in May, I was in Charlotte, North Carolina, and had a chance to try the Cheesy Tots. Down there, they were only available during breakfast hours, but once they expanded to other markets, they became an all-day treat. The Cheesy Tots are one of the only a few items that Burger King sells all day long, regardless of the time.

While the Cheesy Tots are available all day, they are still primarily a breakfast food. I can't imagine anyone choosing these later in the day when Burger King has salads, French fries, and onion rings on the menu. Breakfast options at Burger King still include French toast sticks and hash browns, but these are the big winner.

The Burger King Cheesy Tots are available in a 6 piece, 9 piece, or 12 piece. It seems like most people choose the 12 piece if they're building a breakfast themselves, but the 6 piece is available in the combo meals sold in the mornings. Honestly though, these are so filling that you could make a 12 piece Cheesy Tots as your whole breakfast meal, and not feel hungry all day.

Cheesy Tots are definitely my favorite treat from Burger King. I seldom have the chance to run to the fast food restaurant early in the day, but today I had the opportunity. Until this morning I wasn't aware that they were available here, or that they are available all day long. I grabbed a quick breakfast from there, and while their Homestyle Melt breakfast sandwich was good, these Cheesy Tots blew them out of the water.

Burger King has essentially combined their delicious bite-size hash browns with cheese, and then deep fried them. Each Cheesy Tot has a crispy and crunchy outer layer that adds a great texture to each piece. Inside, they've combined small hash brown pieces with pieces of cheddar cheese. When the pieces are dropped in the hot oil, the potato pieces get warm and soft, while the cheese melts into all the empty spaces. You get the crisp outside, and gooey inside with each bite.
