Have you ever taken a folding metal chair with you during a personal cruise on a large and privately owned sailboat and discovered that you didn't really have much use for the chair, except to sit on it?

If that is the case, then maybe I can offer you 5 great suggestions on several different ways you can use your folding metal chair (besides sitting on it) while taking a personal cruise on a large and privately owned sailboat.

Suggestion #1 - Try using the folding metal chair as an emergency improvised paddle. While taking a personal cruise on a large sailboat, you never know when or where disaster will strike while you are sailing peacefully across the ocean blue.

Sailboats (even very large ones) are not completely impervious to wind, weather or other dangerous natural elements that you might suddenly encounter. Large personal sailboats always seem to give people a false sense of security whenever they choose to use them for sailing around in the open seas.

So, whenever an emergency or a disaster strikes your large sailboat, and you are forced to jump overboard with a life raft, do not forget to take with you your folding metal chair. You never know if your life raft might be missing its own emergency paddle and you have to improvise using something else for a paddle. That is where you can use your folding metal chair. Simply fold up the metal chair, turn it upside down, hold it by its legs and use the chair's back to start paddling in the water.

Suggestion #2 - Try using the folding metal chair while changing a light bulb. If your large sailboat has its own internal generating power source that is used to produce electrical power for things like light bulbs, stoves, radios and so forth that are located below the sailboat's main top deck, you can use your folding metal chair to stand on it and assist you with changing a ceiling light bulb in the sailboat's main galley below decks. It is very simple and easy to do and it works great in a pinch!
