Rough Days

You go through life sometimes thinking you know it all

then you realize, you're not even holding the ball

you threw it to second a long time ago

this is one play you're sure to blow

then along comes your big break or so you think

so you take it, and again you begin to sink

life is much like a game, and no one plays fair

if you get this, you'll be much more aware

people think it'll all come for free

that's not how it works and you'll soon see

you get what you give, or so they say

and if you give badly then you're sure to pay

the price is high and the stakes aren't too cheap

and what you think is small is really a giant leap

so hold strong and hold fast

because bad times won't last

have faith and continue to pray

good times will soon come your way
