A Recent Report From DuPont Claims White is the Number One Car Color

DuPont has recently released a report that gives us insight on what the number one car color in the world is. Silver has long been regarded as the top color choice amongst consumer choices. A recent study conducted by DuPont has revealed that silver is no longer the top color. An
interesting color has risen to the top, that color being white metallic. For the first time in seven years, more consumers prefer white cars over silver and black cars.

DuPont is considered to be a leader in offering paint finishings for a variety of products. Their paint is often used during the process of painting your car. This should shed light as to why the company cares about what the number one car color is. Researchers for DuPont conducted the study and found out that white and white metallic were the number one choices among automobile consumers. These results come on the heels of another study the company conducted that 62-percent of the cars sold over the last six months were white. Both results are a natural tie in and show that more people are preferring the color white. DuPont managed to break down their findings into percentages for each market.

The study showed that North American car owners chose white 19 percent of the time in the overall vehicle market. When it came to the truck/SUV market, DuPont discovered that 26-percent of the owners preferred the color white. The color white is also tied with the color black percentage wise when you look at the luxury car market. A study like this is sure to be open to a lot of criticism amongst consumers and industry insiders. This is because there appears to not be that many white cars on the market. The argument for this is that this is a worldwide study and that the color white is very popular in Mexico and Japan. Recent studies have shown that the statement I just made is very true indeed.
