NEW YORK (OCN) -- New York is infamous for having ban in their state and now there is another one to add to the list. The ban which goes into effect on Monday January 8, 2008 will be on Apple Juice. The ban is not on the semi-centralized peer-to-peer file sharing network but on the fruit juice product manufactured from the pressing of apples.

The ban is being supported heavily by YMAPP (Young Mothers against Processed Products) who discovered in July of this year that some manufactures juice contains concentrate from China. With the recalls of toys due to lead and the contamination on pet food products, everyone at YMAPP is glad to see that the ban is being passed.

"I can't tell you how relieved I am" say Gina Kerpolski. "My kids love (apple) juice and I'm glad that the state is looking out for us." Kerpolski goes on to add "I can watch what they eat at home but you can never tell what they will get in school or on their way home."

Manufactures are insisting that their products are 100% safe for consumptions but the ban is still being passed. For those who are interested in making their own juice, OCN and YMAPP has come up with a few tips to make your own. We have made it twice here in our studio and it tastes great.

What you will need.
- 12 apples
- knife
- measuring cup
- 3 quarts boiling water
- cream of tartar
- sugar
- kettle
- bottle/jug/jar

What you will need to do.

First take 12 apples, clean and dry them. Peel the skin off cut them up small enough to put in your measuring cup.
Next get 3 quarts of boiling water with 3 teaspoons of cream of tartar in it.
CAREFULLY pour the 3 quarts boiling water over your apples and let it sit for 24 hours.
Find a clean rag or something similar and strain the juice.

Next, measure 8 cups of juice and put it in a kettle and add 2 cups sugar.

You are all set, let it cool just a bit and pour it off into your favorite bottle, jug or jar.

Manufacutures and stores will be able to sell their products after 2008 if it does not contains concentrate from China.
Law makers a meeting later today to stop an injunction which the makers set in motion to delay the ban and will also consider if the ban should include products made with apples.

They should ban crooked politicians while they are at it. Seems to me, old NYS has the lion's share. (lol)
