There are many ingredients that make up our culture. Different cuisines such as Italian, Greek, French, Chinese, American, and Mexican cuisine are a part of our culture. Also, there are many different fashions that have made there way into our cultural landscape over the years such as leather jackets in the 1950s, tye dye shirts in the 1960s, and bell bottom pants in the 1970s. Plus, a big fashion trend in the 1980s was colorful plastic flat shoes that came in a rainbow variety of colors called Jellies. In addition to the fashion being a huge part of our culture music also influences our culture in many ways including fashion trends. There are many different types of music styles that music lovers listen to everyday from jazz to rock and roll from rhythm and blues to hip hop. In fact today, both listening to hip hop music and buying hip hop posters are popular pastimes for youths. In fact, if parents buy their children a hip hop poster with a hip hop artist such as Kanye West children will praise their parents for buying such a hip poster. Now, let's look a bit closer at the world of both hip hop music and hip hop posters, Most music lovers and fans probably know that the term 'hip hop' refers to both a cultural movement and a musical genre created in New York City in the decade of the 1970s by African Americans Did you know that hip hop as a cultural movement has a bunch of exciting human activities involved in it that are referred to as elements such as, but not limited to DJing, emceeing, break dancing, and graffiti arts? Hip hop music can be thought of as poetry set to music. Did you also know that the early hip hop culture has been thought to help reduce violence in the inner city by replacing physical battles with both dance and artwork battles? Since graffiti art is both beautiful and creative some type of graffiti art could be found on a variety of hip hop art posters. In addition, since DJing is an essential part of the hip hop culture it is possible to find a DJ poster in a music store that sells DJ tiesto posters.
