My mother's dachshund has gotten into the bad habit of licking his paws, to where they bleed. Yet my mother didn't want to use those plastic protective collars that look like funnels or lampshades, so she was glad to hear that inflatable collars existed. I ordered the medium size for her, which inflates out to ten inches in diameter. After we received the item, it was immediately tried out.
These inflatable and protective pet collars contain an inner bladder that's made of plastic vinyl that's protected by an outer jacket constructed of a canvas material which is machine washable. This pet collar, according to the distributor's website, can even be washed with anti-bacterial soap or ammonia and then dries flat.
Because my mother's dachshund Hercules is a spoiled dog, he had a tantrum the first time it was put on him, but he has been getting used to wearing this protective inflatable pet collar with the ProCollar brand. Hercules the Weiner Dog was able to get drinks easy and rested comfortably, and isn't no longer able to habitually lick his paws with this item around his neck. Because of the shape of his dog bowl and with the way he eats, the collar is removed for this eating function, and then is put on again.

Hercules the Weiner Dog wears the ProCollar protective inflatable collar because he has a licking habit, and didn't mind when told over and over to "Stop licking!"
