Product Review: Nutro Natural Choice Complete Care

After learning that not changing your cat's food for a long period of time can result in the cat developing food allergies, I decided to switch my cat's food. My cat had been eating Science Diet regular formula for four years.

I wanted to provide a natural, holistic food for my cat. The first brand I tried resulted in a noticeable change for the worse in his bowel movement smell. I never noticed it before, but with the new food, the odor from his bowel movements was horrible.

So, I found Nutro's Natural Choice Complete Care Adult formula. It says on the package that it is "guaranteed to reduce litter box odor." I was skeptical, but since food can obviously cause a change in odor of bowel movements for cats, I decided to give it a try.

My cat really likes the food, and after a month of using this food I can safely say that it does not cause litter box odor. Some ingredients of Complete Care Adult formula include chicken meal, ground rice, corn gluten meal, poultry fat, dried plain beet pulp, rice flour and more. The adult formula is recommended for cats ages one through six. Flavors include original, oceanfish and lamb.

The package also says that this is a new formula with an improved taste and smaller kibble. Obviously, I can't judge if all of the claims are true, but I have seen an improvement in my cat's coat and a reduction in litter box odor. My cat also really likes the taste. I am assuming it is easy to digest, as my cat has not had any digestive incidents.
