Originally, I am from Florida and love to eat good barbecue. When I moved to Georgia, I notice that Georgia has a certain way that they cook their ribs. Most restaurants in Columbus offer a honey mustard barbecue sauce with a slaw. I

am use to eating the typical red barbecue without slaw. At first, the honey mustard barbecue was a little different but eventually the taste of honey mustard barbecue grew on me. I am always in search of a good place to buy barbecue in Columbus. The last few months I notice there was a new barbecue restaurant in town and decide to check out the food.

Today, I decide to visit Boss Hog's BBQ and check out the specials that I received in the mail from the restaurant. First impressions, Boss Hog's are the typical rib place with a big, pink pig on the sign. Also, you could see the smoke from the smoker from a distance.

Upon entering the restaurant, a cheerful "Hello, Welcome to Boss Hogs" shouted out from behind the counter. To the right, there's a list of different menu items that the restaurant offers for selection. Boss Hog's BBQ offers the typical items such as chicken, ribs, chipped pork, slaw, baked beans, Brunswick stew, potato salad, and sandwiches.

I decided to order the St. Louis Rib plate and the small chipped pork plate. The St. Louis Rib plate comes with two sides, slaw, and toasted bread. I decided to pick the baked beans and the Brunswick stew. The small chipped pork plate comes with slaw, pickles, and bread. I thought that the prices were pretty reasonable. Boss Hog's BBQ offers pork sandwiches for 0.99 cents. The St. Louis Rib Plate costs 7.99 and the small pork plate costs 4.99.

After I placed my order I selected a drink and sat in the dining area. The dining area was nice and quiet with TV's for your viewing pleasure. The atmosphere is casual with booths lined up against the wall. I was waiting about five minutes before I was called to pick up my order. The food was in a brown bag and placed in a Styrofoam tray.
