Top 10 Home-Based Businesses for Stay-at-Home Parents

When we are able to work at home it enables us to save time and earn more money. Working at home enables us to spend more time with the children. There a variety of different businesses that parents can do to earn money from home. You need to find a business that will enable you to work
 during the time that the children are at school. Here are some ideas of the top ten home based businesses that is great for parents to begin.

1. You can become a freelance writer. Do you remember those articles that you have read each year in your favorite magazine or online? Someone is being paid to write a variety of different articles each month. If you know a ton of information about a certain subject or career then you can write about it. You can write and sell articles if you are an expert in the field or love to do research. Some people write about personal experience and other people write about business experiences. Freelance writing is a wonderful profession that is always interesting and enables you to constantly learn new information. You can make up to several hundred dollars or more per article depending upon which market or company that buy your articles and it also depends upon which rights that you sell.

2. Do you love to teach and share your knowledge with other people? You can always start training classes or tutoring either online or at your home. If you are an expert in a field then you can give your knowledge to other people. This is another way to make money since you generate another source of income. People love to learn from the professionals. If you and your partner both have the same profession then this may be a great business for you both to start together.

3. You can write and sell books. You can write and sell books online as a ebook or in print. If you write a book about provides detailed information regarding a certain profession then you could possibly try to sell them at training classes too. You could write a few books about subjects that you know people would love to know about and would find useful. People love to read books about professions. If you decide to write a book then you need to let your readers know why you an expert.

Another great idea is to sell Avon. My Mom sold Vanda makeup when she stayed home with my sister and I back in the '70s.

Wow, you forgot one of the greatest growing stay at home opportunities! Network marketing! MineralGirlz, Avon, Arbonne, Slumber Parties, Mary Kay, Gold Canyon, Lia Sophia, Cookie Lee---these shouldn't be disregarded, in fact many people are very successful at them, and it cost relatively little to get started.....and the support in companies such as this is amazing. They give you the tools and the knowledge you need to succeed! Women are often successful in marketing something they have a passion for...and every one of these companies are very supportive of their consultants!

This is a very informative article for parents like myself you are looking for a way to bring home extra money and have more of a control of their time to spend with their children. Especially when the children are small. I am a new mother, and I am constantly hating the thought of working for someone else and spend less time with my son. I would like to add my two cents- I think it is really important for a stay at home parent to work at home to keep their sense of self strong and intact. I have seen stay at home parent's struggle with their own identity and crave adult conversation. That is why I am proud that I am in a position to help parents earn extra income that involves their children with a fun home based business.
