A Review of Powhatan Plantation in Virginia, USA
Powhatan Plantation and Its Wonders
When the snow falls in Virginia it is gorgeous. And there are many things to do right inside the unit assigned to you. We stayed in what they called a two bedroom unit complete with kitchen and all that goes with a kitchen; a nice fireplace and a great hot tub in a separate room (large room, I might add) along with a patio and barbecue grill for our use. What really surprised me was that although the unit was described as a two-bedroom lodging, its second bedroom was located upstairs with its own bathroom along with a loft area where there were two more beds. The large couch in the main living room downstairs included a large comfortable couch which pulled out to sleep two more, so Powhatan was not only beautiful, but a fabulous bargain. We all enjoy a bargain, but when the bargain turns out to be a wonderful place, it is even more exciting.
When I stayed there the small lake that is located on Powhatan grounds was lovely, and there were geese that seemed to "own" the lake who had rows of little babies (goslings) following along and since we had children with us, the children were fascinated. The grass seemed greener, though I may have been a little awestruck and the entire grounds of Powhatan were so beautifully kept; I was so pleased. I highly recommend Powhatan Plantation for the above reasons.
