Top Ten Cool People 2007

2007 saw many people in the news and in the celebrity spotlight. We saw people on television shows, people in magazines, and models in fabulous photo shoots. People gave money to charity, are running for President in 2008, and started companies small and large.

So who are my top ten picks for cool people in 2007?

1. Richard Branson, owner of Virgin. Richard Branson is the owner of all things Virgin, including Virgin Mobile and Virgin Airlines. I have placed him as the number one cool person because he really wants to help the world. Sure, he's a billionaire, and he continues to do things to make money in the business world. But, he also gives to charity. Alot. And, he has dedicated himself to investing his company's transportation profits towards alternative energy sources. Interestingly enough, he initially spoke about this with President Clinton at Clinton's Global Initiative Conference.

Richard Branson is also cool because he is a calculated daredevil. What this means is that he will do all kinds of crazy things, making sure to be carefully prepared while doing them. Skydiving is an example.

2. Sabrina Bryan. Why was she so cool? She is one of, if not the, most incredible dancers to have ever danced on Dancing with the Stars. Why was she so incredible? Because she did anything it took to achieve perfection and passion in her dances. And, she carries this over to her life. This is the way to live! She's also cool because it's cute with the developing romance between her and dancing professional partner Mark Ballas.

3. Johnny Depp. I just happen to think that Pirates of the Caribbean was a great movie, and his portrayal of the rum-soaked pirate was unforgettable. I happen to have respect for Johnny Depp in general above his making of this third in the series of Pirates of the Caribbean. He also starred in Sweeney Todd, an interesting yet peculiar movie that came out in 2007 as well. Johnny Depp also makes the cool list because he had a troubled past that turned to a successful career in acting.
