2007 Mitsubishi Vehicle Sales Pass 2006 Annual Total at the End of November

Mitsubishi Motors has announced their November sales numbers. For the month of November compared to the same month one year ago, the numbers were disappointing with a decrease in sales volume of 13.8 percent. Despite this decrease in sales volume for the month of November, Mitsubishi Motors is still well ahead of last year's sales volume for the first 11 months of the year. This information was provided in a recent press release from Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc.

For the year, Mitsubishi Motors has sold 123,089 units as of the end of November. This is an increase of 13.3 percent compared to these same 11 months during 2006. The total units sold of 123,089 has already surpassed their total units sold for the entire year of 2006, which was 118,558 units sold. So far the vehicle with the greatest sales percentage increase through 11 months of 2007 is the Outlander crossover sport utility vehicle with an increase of 136 percent. The Lancer Sedan has had a strong year to date with a sales volume increase of 61 percent as well. Other vehicles with sales volume increases for the year to date compared with the same time period in 2006 are the Eclipse Spyder convertible (up 15.4%), Raider truck (up 10%), and Galant Sedan (1%).

Despite the overall decline in sales volume for Mitsubishi Motors in November of 2007, several models did post positive numbers. The Lancer had 1,708 units sold during November of 2007, which was an increase of 54 percent compared with November of 2006. The Raider truck saw it's November sales increase by 35.1 percent compared with last November. Other vehicles that had strong a strong November in 2007 included the Endeavor with an increase in sales of 8.9% compared with last November, and the Eclipse Spyder convertible with a 5.9% increase over November 2006.
