With Christmas quickly approaching, many classrooms across the country will be celebrating with their won Christmas parties. Even the worst of students love to bring students gifts for Christmas. What they often don't realize is that teachers get tons of gifts they really don't want or simply can't use. Here are some ideas for things your teacher would love to receive:

Gift Certificates. Gift certificates make great gifts for teachers. They take the pressure off of deciding on a gift. They give teachers the freedom to choose what they want. Giving gift certificates to places like Wal-Mart, Target or Kmart, gives a teacher the ability to buy almost anything they want. Don't forget about other places like restaurants. If you know your teachers favorite place to eat this makes an ideal gift. Also you should consider a gift certificate to a nice spa to give your teacher a relaxing day.

Hobby items. Do you know what your teacher's hobbies are? It may sometimes appear that all teachers do is make lesson plans and grade papers, but that's not true. They actually have lives to. Find out what your teacher likes to do. Then buy them a gift that they can use with their hobby. This is a gift your teacher will love and can actually use. If their hobby is something that is expensive, find a store that supports there hobby and give them a gift certificate to that store. Your teacher will appreciate getting a gift they really will use.

Sweets. When all else fails sweets make great gifts. Weather it's candy, cookies or cake, teachers love nice treats around the holidays. Food makes a great gift for teachers. Even if they don't' eat it all, they are bound to have someone around the house who can help eat their food.

Supplies- Teachers can almost always us more supplies. Everything from pencils and pens, to sticky notes and paper comes in handy. Buying supplies for a teacher for Christmas is a great idea. You will be buying them things they need and saving them their own money. You might even consider making a nice gift basket to present all of your stuff.
