Process variables are those variants in the school system that affects the student's ability to learn. Not only is it his ability to learn, but to provide a more well rounded education. An example would be class size. Teachers prefer to have a small class size so that they can spend more one-on-one time with the students. This is beneficial to the adolescent's education. However, a small school system without a large amount of student is not necessarily beneficial. The school system might not have enough money to offer extra-curricular activities such as a large school system would. Students that transfer in their high school years tend to have many problems adjusting and gaining new friends. This will have a detrimental effect on their education.

In the military I find people that used to be military brats. They have traveled all over the country and I wondering if there is a psychological problem related with this. I have met numerous people that have traveled all over the country with their families, they have never had a home to call their own. In adulthood they are lying, telling stories and making unbelievable claims. Some of these claims do not make any sense, for instance I had someone who worked for me tell me that he had a 1700-year-old crossbow. He said he knew it was that old because it was stamped on the barrel along with made in Germany! However, he was not the only one. I think that since these people have traveled through their youths, they have never been held accountable by their childhood peers to always tell the truth. Now it has carried over into their adulthood. Does this sound familiar to you?
