Entering Your Horse in Shows

Entering shows is one of two ways to increase your horse's points. (You can also pay a trainer to train your horse.)
Before entering your horse in a show, check these things. A horse cannot enter a show unless all of these things have been checked.

Your horse must be fed and have the board paid.
Your horse must go to the vet and the farrier if it is overdue for shoes and a checkup.
Your horse's health must be over 25%.
Your horse must be under 19 years old.
Your horse must be at least 3 years old.

If your horse meets all of these requirements, you are ready to pick some shows to enter your horse in. First, click on the horse you would like to show. Click "enter this horse in a show."
You can enter your horse in any show you like. There are certain things you can do, however, to make your horse more likely to win. Here is a short guide to helping you choose which shows to enter.

Opening a Show Page - On the show search page, you can search for shows that have not been run. You can search for shows any way you like, but since this site is about tips and tricks, I'll tell you how to choose shows that will get your horse the highest number of points. First, you need to know the date. Enter the date for the next day (tomorrow) and uncheck the shockwave show entry box. A list of shows will appear. Don't choose shows on the first page. Those are all flooded (over-full). Click "next" and go to whichever page you like. Now, click on a show. The show information will appear at the bottom of the page. The type of show will be listed and also the number of horses already entered in that show. Try to enter shows with the lowest number of horses entered. This will increase your horse's chance to win. Don't enter a show with more than 60 or 70 horses already entered.

I use to help my friend's father get horses ready for showing when I was a teenager. I loved it.
