New Year's Eve Game

When my siblings and I were young, New Year's Eve meant it was the day to have our annual treasure hunt in our household. The game was created by my parents when we were little and stayed with us for many New Year's Eve days.

Every year was a little different. My parent's spent days preparing clues that they would write down on little paper scraps to give to us. We would start out with one clue, which would lead us to another clue and so on until we found our prize. The clues would be hidden in a variety of places such as behind the tv, under the couch, in the bird cage ect.

I remember when we got so excited when we found our treasure or prize which was different every New Year's Eve. One year we got a huge bag of candy. Another we got a movie (on vhs, of course). This is a great way to entertain your kiddies on New Year's Eve!

There are many ways to play this game; be creative!
