Buying a gift for someone special can be fun and exciting. You want to buy just the right gift that fits that person's personality. However, you need to be careful when buying a gift for a woman, especially if she is a girlfriend, wife, or mother. There are some gifts that a woman really appreciates and there are those gifts that a woman could do without. In fact she would rather just trash them. She would prefer to not get a gift than to get something that was thoughtless and meaningless. If you're contemplating what to get that special woman for Christmas, take a look at the 10 gifts you should never buy her for Christmas or any other special day.1. Household appliances. These include vacuum cleaners, pots and pans, toasters, and irons. No woman wants to be reminded that she has to clean or cook throughout the year.
2. Socks and underwear. It is true that a woman can use these, but how embarrassing would it be to open a gift of white granny panties and white tube socks in front of family members?
3. Trinkets. She probably has enough of these collecting dust in her house or they are stored in a box in the attic. If you give her another dog figurine, she might put a leash on it and give it away at the yard sale.
4. Fruitcake. The woman in your life does not need any extra calories. Besides, she might be offended by how awful it tastes and give it to the dogs if they'll have it.
5. Cheap bath products. Every woman likes to sit back and relax in a nice hot bath of bubbles and soften her skin with lotion. However, she does not like to smell like bug spray. She might even use them on the dogs to give them a bath.
6. Cheap gourmet food packages. Most women like gourmet cheese and fine chocolates. However, if the chocolates have nasty fillings or the cheese has started to mold, she might be tossing these to the dogs as well.
7. Cutesy sweaters. She likes soft sweaters that are comfortable, pretty, and nice enough to wear anywhere. Sweaters with tigers or poodles on are more suitable for cats and dogs themselves.
8. Cookbooks. She already knows she doesn't know how to cook. Giving her a cookbook will only find you in the doghouse.
