I'm always questing for that one special facial cleanser that will end my pore woes. I inherited my mothers large facial pores, they are always noticeable, especially right under my eyes. I loathe looking in the mirror because of them, and wearing makeup to smooth over them causes a nasty problem, they get blocked up real quickly. I've tried everything I could think of, using hot water, using cold water, using pore minimizing masques. And they remained as they were, noticeable. So until I found that perfect product to shrink them, I decided to work on keeping them as clean as possible. Enter Olay® Smooth Skin Exfoliating Scrub with Gentle Microbeads. Catchy name, right?

This product sings to the tune of "rejuvenates, deep cleans, and conditions for smooth, radiant skin." Radiant must be my thing. I purchased this product on a whim, balking at the price that I paid for the 6 fl. oz. container. I'm pretty sure it was over $5, and I hate to spend money selfishly. But my quest for pore perfection cajoled me into buying it.

The cream inside the see through container was white, with navy blue beads packed in tightly enough to be abundant, but not tight enough to hamper with the white cream color. I flipped open the top before my first use, and found the smell that I really don't care for. It smelled like, cream. It's hard to explain I guess. I associate the smell with the old hand lotions before adding scent was invented, and I was about to put that on my face. Ugh, the torture was beginning already. I'm a scent lover, I normally don't use something if I can't stand the smell. But the quest was on, and I couldn't back down. Olay® Smooth Skin Exfoliating Scrub, here I come.

As usual, I go through a personal routine while in the shower. I wash and condition my hair, wash my body with soap, repeat with body wash, then move on to my facial products. I squeezed a small bit onto my fingers, and poked at it a bit. The beads were firm, they didn't crush when I applied pressure. Great for exfoliating. I still hated the smell.
