After reviewing Crest’s new Pro-Health Rinse, my mouth felt tingly clean enough to offer up my personal recommendation. Crest’s new rinse has been years in the making, and its development is making mouths all over the world cleaner, healthier and fresher.

Crest Pro-Health Rinse is an antigingivitis and antiplaque mouth rinse that was formulated to kill the bacteria in the mouth that causes plague, gingivitis and bad breath.  One thing we have had a problem with was the fact that we felt like the strong alcohol based rinses of the past were killing our mouths along with the bacteria. The reason why we got this sensation in the first place is because companies were using alcohol as the active ingredient in these other rinse products. You will not run into this problem with Crest Pro-Health rinse because it contains no alcohol, and the active ingredient in Crest Pro-Health is 0.07% Cetylpyridinium chloride. That being said, you can actually enjoy your thirty second gargle regime because Crest Pro-Health rinse does not cause that burning sensation in the mouth like the other leading brands.

The professionals at Crest Pro-Health boast a twenty-four hour protection against gingivitis and plaque when Crest Pro-Health is used. That simply means that if you use it in the morning, but do not get another opportunity to use the rinse until twenty-four hours later, your mouth is still getting the protection it needs. When used in laboratory testing, the new Crest Pro-Health rinse was successful in killing ninety-nine percent of gingivitis and plague causing germs and bacteria, along with those that cause bad breath.

One thing that I found out during this trial period of using the product that I did not know before, is that Crest Pro-Health is actually mild enough to be safely used following oral surgeries. This is quite beneficial because germs and bacteria often congregate around vulnerable tissue areas such as that of those following oral surgery. Crest Pro-Health also helps alleviate gengivital inflammation.

I do not work for P &G. With that said, I have been using Crest pro-health because my birth control was causing white patches and canker sores in my mouth. I no longer get them. My teeth have actually been whiter since I've been using the mouthwash, and the taste loss is only for 45 minutes after using it...because it's mouthwash. I don't know what else to say.

I have been using Crest Pro Health Mouthwash for about a week. I bought it because I saw that it didn't contain alcohol and I thought that it would prevent the burning. It still burned! And now I woke up today and I cannot taste! Luckily I don't have the brown stains that everyone else is talking about..maybe because I have only used in a few times. I will never use this product ever again! It needs to be removed from the market!

Crest pro-health is awful! It should have a WARNING on the bottle. I haven't been able to taste anything for the last two days, and I'd only used Crest pro-health for about half a week! My mouth tastes like dirty metal and food just tastes wet and sour, no matter what it is. This lack of tatse had better go away soon! This is an awful product to be avoided! At least I didn't get tooth staining....

At First it was fine and i loved this product and i told everyone about it and then one day i woke up and i had brown stains all along the gum line and everything i ate tasted like sawdust i couldent understand it. My Oral Surgan Recomended it to me after i had my wisdome teath taken out and less then a week later he called me up and told me not to use it becaue it stains your teath and gums and it takes your taste away. and i'll admit it i smoke and drink coffie all the time but i have regular dental checkups and cleanings i brush my teath for 3 min 4 or 5 times a day but i only rince 2 times a day this product almost ruined my reseptionist job because i dident want to smile. i hope they recall this product and pay everyone for damages.

I purchased the toothpaste/mouthwash combo sold at my local Wal-Mart. After using the mouthwash 2 times, everything I ate or drank tasted like bleach! This sensation didn't subside for about a full week. I too am appalled Crest would allow this product to continue being sold.

Gerry, I'm sorry, but you are an idiot. Do you work for P & G? The active ingredient in this product was known to cause brown teeth staining long before Crest Pro-Health Rinse came along. Crest and the FDA were negligent- they should have put a warning on the label if they wanted to sell a mouthwash with the potential to stain teeth.

Crest Pro-Health Rinse stains teeth. And it kills your taste buds and numbs your tongue.

It didn't stain my teeth. What's the problem with you people, don't you ever get your teeth cleaned at the dentist? I highly reccomend it.

Way to go, P&G: devise a "mouthwash" that stains teeth. (Mine, too.) DUH.

I've got three words to describe this product: disgusting. brown. stains.

This stuff has stained my teeth brown as well. Maybe marketing slogan should be "Perfect for that shit eating grin".

When's Crest going to recall this product? Folks, please contact Crest and let them know about these problems otherwise they won't know there's such an issue. Don't just complain on boards, complain to the company. I tried this stuff for the first time last night without researching first. Despite not having alcohol, it DID burn my mouth anyway! My tongue felt sore. And I couldn't taste my dinner one hour later! It was scary losing my sense of taste almost completely! I'm going to contact Crest when I'm done with work if their lines are still open, and see about getting a refund. No way I'm letting them get away with this. They should be made to pay everyone who's teeth have been stained, so they can get free whitening treatments.

It stained my teeth too! I couldn't figure out why suddenly I had nasty brown stains along my gumline. This rinse is the only thing I have done differently. I am relieved it is this and not something worse.. I notice on the bottle it says to rinse your mouth before using (if using after brushing) maybe it is a reaction with something in toothpaste? I changed my sense of taste as well.. but I am mostly mad about the BROWN STAINS THAT HAVEN'T COME OFF
