After five long years, Celine Dion's Las Vegas show "A New Day...", which is the biggest contract ever signed for a musical artist in history, comes to a close December 15th.

Celine Dion's idea for the Vegas spectacle started when she was ready to take her first break from the spotlight and have a child. Two years out of the spotlight, Celine came back with a new album and a new schedule that would train her for one of the biggest shows in entertainment history. In March 2003, the same day she released her platinum selling album One Heart, Celine's Vegas adventure began and CBS aired a live special to give fans a first look at the show.

Though she has been working night after night, week after week, Celine has managed to stay in the spotlight. Since the beginning of "A New Day..." she has released a lullaby album working with baby photographer Anne Geddes, a French language album called 1 Fille & 4 Types (1 Girl & 4 Guys) in which she worked with songwriter/producer Jean-Jacques Goldman for the third time, a live album of her Vegas show, a greatest hits CD/DVD in French, another French album titled D'Elles (From Them, a team of all female songwriters wrote the material while Goldman produced the record. He also produced her 1995 album D'Eux which has the same translation), and now just released a new edgy English album titled Taking Chances. She also has managed to be a full-time mom, taking care of her son Rene-Charles each night before she goes off to work for a couple hours.

On December 15th, Celine will take the stage one last time at the Caesar's Palace Colesseum that was built specially for this magnificent event in showbusiness. She will perform songs from her extremely large catalog of songs, including the hits such as "Because You Loved Me," "My Heart Will Go On," "Pour Que Tu M'Aimes Encore ("So You'll Still Love Me," taken from D'Eux, and classics such as "I Wish," "I've Got The World On A String," and "If I Could." She will also perform the newly added song "Taking Chances."
