21-Year-Old Los Angeles Man Murdered in Drive-By Shooting

According to the Los Angeles Police Department, a man was murdered in a drive-by shooting this past Sunday evening in Tujunga, California.

The incident happened at around 7:45 in the late evening. The area police department received a call about a shooting and immediately dispatched police officers to the area of the call. The patrol units arrived at the location, the 10100 block of Samoa Avenue, and saw a young man lying on the ground, dead, from a severe gunshot wound.

The man is only said to be a 21-year-old resident of Tujunga, California. His name is currently being withheld pending notification of his immediate family.

Witnesses who saw the murder happen were willing to help police as best as they could. They said that the young man was gunned down by a suspect during a drive-by shooting. Of all the witnesses who saw the homicide happen, none were able to give police a description of either the suspect or the vehicle. The witnesses were also unable to say which way the suspect fled on Samoa Avenue. Police are continuing to interview people who saw any part of the crime happen in the area.

Additionally, police officers and detectives are unsure of what the motive in the murder was. It is quite possible that it was gang related, due to the fact that the homicide was a drive-by. Also, the leads so far in the case are weak. The suspect, however, should be considered armed and dangerous.
