"I cannot wait to get home to see if I have any messages on MySpace. Maybe I can check my messages at work. The boss will never know. Hi honey, I'm home, I am just going to check my messages on MySpace. I'll be right back. Wow! It's already 10:00. I cannot believe the time went so fast. Oh well, I'll just stay on a few more minutes".

Does this sound like your evenings? MySpace can easily become an addiction if you allow it. It starts out simple enough. You create a profile on MySpace to keep up with friends from school or work. The next thing you know you are spending all your free time checking your MySpace messages. Before you realize it you are spending several hours a day on MySpace.

MySpace can become an addiction without you even realizing it. It can start to interfere in your relationships. Your significant other may not like that you spend hours a night on MySpace instead of spending quality time with them. They may become jealous of the time you spend, and start to resent you.

MySpace is a world on the internet. You do not know all of the people you chat with on there. They could be serial killers, or rapist looking for their next victim. People can be anyone they want to be on MySpace. They can use photos of other people. They can tell you they live anywhere. People on MySpace can have any job they desire. It becomes a fantasy world to them.

Sometimes people lose track of what is fantasy and what is reality. They can become so hooked on a person; they let their rational thinking run away. Some people start affairs with people they meet on MySpace. It starts innocent enough. A few nightly conversations and messages are exchanged. The next thing you know they are meeting these people for romantic encounters. This is very dangerous. You do not know who you are really going to meet. They could be planning to kidnap you, or kill you.

Another great article. I don't have a MySpace page right now, but I do plan to create one when I have more time on my hands.
