There's no doubt about it. Our country is infatuated with the sweet, delicious taste of chocolate. Attention is increasingly focused on chocolate not only for its taste but for its purported health benefits. As if America needs another excuse to indulge in chocolate! Why not feed your desire for chocolate by hosting a chocolate theme party for family and friends? Here's how to host a chocolate theme party: Prepare your chocolate menu.
First, you'll need to decide whether you want to create your own chocolate treats or buy them ready made. If you have some expertise cooking with chocolate, you may enjoy preparing your own chocolate delicacies for the chocolate theme party. If not, you can shop for candies and other confectionaries at your local chocolate store. You may also want to check with some bakeries in your area to see if they can provide you with a chocolate fudge cake to use as the centerpiece at your chocolate themed party.
You can also consider renting a chocolate fountain for your theme party. A chocolate fountain will provide your guests with a never ending stream of rich chocolate for dipping. Just supply a try of fruit such as strawberries, bananas, pineapple, cookies, and other items that will taste great with rich chocolate.
Prepare your guest list.
Make a list of your favorite chocolate lovers to invite to your chocolate theme party. Make your own invitations out of plain cards and use rubber stamps with a chocolate theme to decorate the front of your cards. Let your guests know they'll be joining you for an evening of fun, fellowship, and lots of chocolate. Ask them to RSVP so you'll know how many guests to expect.
Display your chocolates.
Decorate your dining room table with a pretty, red tablecloth with some white lace accents. Display your chocolate fudge cake as the centerpiece and your other chocolate creations all around it. Set out some plates for guests to fill their plates with chocolate buffet style. Serve glasses of cold milk and coffee to wash down the chocolate. It's probably best to stay away from chocolate milk at your chocolate themed party to avoid overkill.
Prepare for an evening of fun.
