I am about to go through a series of articles here to the general public that most are not aware of. First let me enlighten you of the knowledge I have on the industry. I am been in this industry since July 14th of 1981. I started out as needing a job to help subside the family income from person to 2 after entering into a second marriage. Trying to be a good wife I found something I felt as if I could write my own check in base salary verses commission world.

Now here is how it all starts these major businesses hire people from all walks of life to make what is called an outbound call to a consumers home or to a business. Now these in the industry are known as B2C sales (business to consumers) and/or B2B calls (business to business calls).

Now little did I know that the results was going to a push come to shove situation here. They put us all in a room and for 5 days now. Not just a few hours but these big businesses want to make sure you learn how to close a sale over the phone with sincerity, This takes talent to get others to entrust you with their valuable information such as credit card numbers, checking account info and /or social security numbers.

We where taught how to follow a very professionally written script that not only was of concern for the product or event , but it went through approval of the client and the clients attorneys as not to miss represent. Once we learned how to be comfortable with this we where taught how to PRESENT with energy, confidence and enthusiasm from the first call of the day to the last call of the day.

Now big businesses put forth a lot, I mean a lot of expense to train the right people to sell their products, set an appointment for outside reps and /or generate leads for sales personal.

The trainer/s job is to get you good enough to move forward to a sales managers floor. The sales manager has supervisors, team leaders and a monitoring system to make sure all quotas are met. If quotas are not met daily then a manager can lose his/her position in the company. So performance is the base of the industry.
