Here at the midpoint of December, teams are trying to figure out who they are, but you should already know who your players are on your fantasy team. There aren't going to be too many more waiver-wire wonders after this point in the season, so pay attention who is doing what right now, or you will regret it later.

Point guard is a very important position in the NBA, and it is just as important in the world of fantasy basketball. Here are your fantasy basketball rankings at the point guard position.

Chris Paul - (21.0 pts, 4.0 reb, 9.8 ast, 2.9 stl, 3.2 a/t) - Chris Paul continues his ascent to the top of the point guard rankings. And he is definitely the best young point guard. Say what you will about Deron Williams, but his numbers can't touch Chris Paul's. Paul beats Williams and all three of the major statistical categories, including rebounding! As for the rest of the point guards, I won't argue if you'll say that you want J-Kidd, Nash, or even Baron Davis over Paul, but when it comes to fantasy basketball, you'd have to be a fool to take them over CP3. That assists to turnover ratio can do most of explaining.

Jason Kidd - (11.3 pts, 8.7 reb, 10.4 ast, 1.7 stl, 2.5 a/t) - J-Kidd! Will he an average a triple-double? I highly doubt it, but if he did, it would be a tad bit more impressive than Oscar Robertson's triple double in terms of translating it to this era. Granted, even if you account for differences in eras, Oscar's converted numbers still surpasses Kidd's current rate. However, Kidd is playing in era where team-first athletes are at a premium, especially on his New Jersey Nets. That said, as ridiculous as these numbers are, he has a way to go before he can finish the season with these kinds of numbers.
