Fantasy Basketball Power Rankings - Power Forwards - Mid-December

I guess it really is no coincidence that the Western Conference is the dominant conference in the league. All four power forwards on this edition's fantasy basketball power rankings list are on teams west of the Mississippi River. Thankfully, fantasy basketball does not revolve around conferences and divisions.

So here we are, well past the quarter-mark of the NBA season. The cream of the crop in fantasy basketball is separating themselves from everyone else. And some surprise players are staking their claim as one of the games best.

Carlos Boozer - (25.2 pts, 11.4 reb, 3.0 ast, 0.6 blk) - Carlos Boozer IS producing more than Kevin Garnett- fantasy wise. Don't mistake that for Boozer being the better player, not even this season. Clearly, KG has been leading his team to vicious blowouts of the Celtics opponents, so his stats have dipped. But moving on to Boozer, his stats are on the rise. His points have increased due to a determination to get everything in the paint, which shows up with his 4.2 free throws made per game. His rebounds have increased, mainly at the offensive end where he is dominating the paint. And his assists have also increased. Carlos Boozer is fantasy basketball dream, and if you can make a play on him (even you Garnett owners), I suggest you go ahead and make that move.

Kevin Garnett - (19.5 pts, 10.9 reb, 4.3 ast, 1.3 blk) - KG has the Celtics rolling, and double-double average has been done in rather obscurity. However, his points have taken a hit, and his rebounds have fallen by almost two a game. Doesn't really matter though, because they are winning. But in terms of fantasy, see if you can't sell KG's name for a more valuable player, because it looks as if KG won't have to put in very many 40-minute nights with the way the Celtics are blowing out their opponents.
