Using vintage furniture and accessories in the bathroom is great way to create a custom design in your home bathroom. Vintage furniture is ideal for the bathroom for many reasons. Vintage furniture is a great way to add storage to a small space. Vintage furniture in the bathroom is also a great way to add inexpensive art to the walls in your bathroom. Vintage furniture is a great way to provide seating in a larger bathroom. It seems that in the past decade or so most people have come to expect more from their bathrooms. Vintage furniture is a great way to get a custom look on a small budget or a big budget. Here are some ideas to get you started using vintage furniture in your bathroom.

A vintage wooden chair is great piece of furniture that will add seating to a casual large bathroom. Cover the seat of the furniture in vintage fabric or even in terry cloth. This is comfortable seating as well as great designer flare in you home bathroom.

A vintage dresser adds immediate storage to any bathroom. Many vintage dressers are smaller than the larger piece of furniture produced today. This small size is great for a bathroom. I know a lot people turn an old vintage dresser in to a bathroom counter, but why not do the unexpected and set it next to your pedestal sink or existing counter. The furniture can stand alone and add some additional counter space. Another option would be to turn a vintage dresser into a laundry hamper for your bathroom. Remove the drawers from the piece of furniture. Take the front off of each drawer and reattach them to the front of the dresser with screws, nails, or wood glue. Remove the top of the dresser and reattach it with a piano hinge. This will allow you to flip up the top and throw laundry in. If you have a laundry shoot in the floor of your vintage bathroom cut the bottom of the dresser out with a jigsaw and place the dresser over the laundry shoot. It adds a great vintage touch to your bathroom while serving a function.

Takeaways
  • If you have extra floor space in your bathroom try stacking some vintage trunks there.
  • Small vintage furniture is great hung on a bathroom walls as shelving.

Great ideas. I have room for one in my kitchen. I may try making my own piece now.
