Hollywood, CA - The movie Atonement is leading the pack with seven Golden Globe nominations, based on the today's release of the nominees. The Golden Globe nominations were released by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. The 65th annual Golden Globe awards will be given out on January 13, 2008 in Los Angeles, California.

Atonement Receives the Most Golden Globe Nominations

Atonement, based on a novel by Ian McEwan, has been nominated for seven Golden Globes, the most Golden Globes for the year 2007. Atonement has received the coveted nomination, and the highest compliment with its Golden Globe nomination for Best Motion Picture - Drama.

There are so many movies I'm looking forward to seeing, and I'm glad that quite a few made it into the nominations. I can't wait for Sweeney Todd, although I don't think it will win best comedy picture. I do think that No country for old men is going to be a big winner though.

I am chagrined at how few of these movies I've seen. Most of my moviegoing this year seems to have been devoted to kids' movies. Eeeek! New Year's resolution #1- see movies not intended for the under 10 set in 2008.
